Who we are
The action of Association of Friends and Volunteers of the Society for the Protection of Minors in Thessaloniki, unofficial started in 1992, when a group of volunteers of the Adlerian Center of Psychology of Thessaloniki, supports the work of the Society for the Protection of Minors (S.P.M.T.) Under the scientific supervision of  S.P.M.T. staff, the voluntary group, supports the minors for a long period of time, in the context of “Steki” Prevention Center's operation.

In addition, in 1997, the group of volunteers implements, with the cooperation of the department of Criminology Sciences of School of Law of Aristotle’s University of Thessaloniki, an EU research project.

Finally, in 1998, after project’s completion, the Volunteer Group of the Adlerian Psychology Centre, establish the Association of Friends and Volunteers of the Society for the Protection of Minors in Thessaloniki, aiming to the scientific support of S.P.M.T’s work.  

The Association of Friends and Volunteers of S.P.M.T, is registered in the National Register of Social Care Organizations, as non profit organization (Decision no: ΑΡ.Γ.Π.:Π (2)γ/οικ. 105565 of the Greek Minister of Health and Social Solidarity 1453/Τβ/21-10-05), as well as in the Register of Voluntary NGOs (registration no:02202ΣΥΤ11063040Ν/009).
